Is Climacium dendroides a rare moss?

It is not globally rare, but it is uncommon in cultivation. Wild populations are scattered, sensitive to drainage changes, and the species is rarely available as a documented, traceable product.

Can it be cultivated indoors?

Yes, in stable humidity (85–95 %), diffuse light (1 000–2 500 lux) and cool temperatures (15–18 °C). Terrariums, growth chambers and dedicated rooms all work when those parameters are met.

Can it grow on artificial substrates?
